At ComForCare Somerville, we understand that hospice and palliative care are invaluable services for individuals facing serious illness — but they often provide only a limited number of in-home visits each week. That’s where we come in. We work side-by-side with hospice and palliative care providers to offer additional, hourly or around-the-clock in-home support that goes beyond what is covered by the hospice agency.

Our caregivers partner closely with the hospice or palliative care team — including nurses, social workers, and chaplains — to ensure clear communication, coordinated care, and continuity of service. We keep everyone on the same page, so the person receiving care experiences a seamless, consistent level of comfort and support.

Our goal is to keep your loved one safe, comfortable, and cared for in the setting they love most — home. We help with personal care, repositioning, companionship and emotional support, medication assistance, meal preparation and feeding.  Just as importantly, we help relieve the physical and emotional burden on family members during a difficult and emotional time, allowing them to focus on spending quality moments together rather than worrying about the next task or safety concern.
