Micah Gibbs-Gonzalez Owner & Director of Clinical Services
As a registered nurse for 20+ years, I reached a point in my career and life where I knew it was time for the next chapter in my career. After 2 years of research, the path was clear, ComForCare was the solution. With a passion for caregiving, a love for my community, and most importantly, the desire to ensure our loved one’s age safely in place. Opening ComForCare Rio Grande Valley felt like the solution. I am committed to ensuring ComForCare RGV provides a higher standard of care for our clients and families in the Rio Grande Valley. Throughout the years working as an ICU Nurse at local hospitals, school nursing in San Benito, and my past 10 years proudly serving our local veterans, I am honored to be given the opportunity to contribute to preserving the dignity and quality of life for the seniors in my community. As the owner and a registered nurse, I understand all aspects of the care continuum. I know the importance of providing our loved ones with a better option for care and safely aging in place. My goal is to make a difference in the lives of every client.
Larissa Vallejo – Director of Operations
With over 15 years of hands-on experience in the home health and home care field, I bring a deep-rooted passion for service, integrity, and connection to every aspect of my work. I currently serve as the Owner and Director of Operations at our Idaho West location, while also overseeing operational leadership at our South Texas office in the Rio Grande Valley. My journey began in high school as a CNA, where I discovered a natural gift for caring for others. While I pursued an associate’s degree in Biology with the goal of entering the medical field, life had other beautiful plans—starting a family redirected my path. However, the calling to serve never left. I found my true professional home in healthcare operations, where I’ve grown from front-line caregiver to executive leadership. Partnering with Micah, the owner of our Texas location, was a pivotal moment that launched my forever career. Along the way, I earned certification in medical billing and coding, further rounding out my expertise and ensuring I understand every layer of the patient care process. My approach goes far beyond logistics and compliance. I believe in human connection—building trust with every patient, forming bonds that often evolve into family, and nurturing a workplace culture where my team feels valued and seen. I lead with empathy, faith, and a relentless commitment to excellence. Above all, I’m driven by my faith in God and the love of my family. They fuel my purpose and inspire me to build a legacy of compassion and care for every life I touch.

Alexia Maciel – Care Manage and Scheduler
Hello! My name is Alexia Maciel, and I’m proud to serve as the Care Manager here at ComForCare. With over eight years of experience in the caregiving field, I’ve had the privilege of supporting seniors, veterans, and even children across various settings — from nursing homes and assisted living facilities to daycares and home care. My journey began as a CNA, later becoming a medication aide, which deepened my understanding of both the clinical and personal sides of care. In 2021, I joined the ComForCare team as a CNA/caregiver and immediately felt heard, valued, and appreciated. Every shift spent with clients and their families has been a meaningful experience that I truly hold close to my heart.
More recently, I was honored when our amazing Director, Larissa, recognized my dedication and offered me the opportunity to take on a new role — assisting our veterans in even more impactful ways. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of such a compassionate team, and I hope you feel just as welcomed and inspired to be apart of the ComForCare family.
