Patient- and family-centered care is an innovative approach to the evaluation and delivery of health care. We consider ourselves a team, including ComForCare caregivers, health care providers, clients, and families. Patient- and family-centered care applies to people of all ages.
We provide assistance for seniors, persons with disabilities or special needs, persons recovering from illness or surgery, and veterans. It can be uncomfortable for persons to receive personal care services; our caregivers are trained to be discreet and in ways to make people comfortable. We are considerate always, to help each person to relax and know that their dignity is respected. Everyone needs a little help at times and it's ok to ask for help!
Qualified caregivers provide respectful assistance with general hygiene needs, including:
- Incontinence care
- Basic tooth care
- Skin care
- Grooming nails
- Bathing
- Hair care
- Dressing
- Washing linens
Some people find it difficult to ask a family member to help with personal care needs. For others it is not an issue. No matter what the level of comfort may be, our caregivers are kind and respectful always. Family members can take as little or as much control over caregiving as desired, with ComForCare caregivers filling in the gaps or taking charge as needed.
