“I am very fortunate that Sandy Rosenholz of senior Resources referred our family to Mickey and Nancy from ComForCare Calabasas. I have been using their services since July 2016. They make sure that their caregivers are a match for each client. They start with a hospital assessment to determine the level of care needed. Mickey did a home evaluation and assisted my husband in making sure our house was post-stroke friendly. He had suggestions for hand bar installation as well as stair railings. Mickey and Nancy both check in at least weekly to make sure everything is running smoothly. If a caregiver is unable to help on any given day Mickey or Nancy will personally assist you. We had heard many nightmare stories about caregivers, but both my husband and I feel comfortable knowing I am in such good hands when he is not able to assist me. Thank you Mickey and Nancy.”

“To start, they performed a thorough initial assessment to determine their recommended level of care. My dad leads an active lifestyle and relies on ComForCare to help with household chores and meal preparation. ComForCare has been very proactive to address my dad’s needs, including inventorying and determining cooking utensils and equipment. They provided a list of needed items and then, with our permission, proceeded to purchase everything…seamless!! Additionally, my dad was unnecessarily gaining some weight. ComForCare assessed the food in his refrigerator and pantry as well as reviewed his eating habits. After discussing the options with my dad and me, ComForCare helped him develop an appetizing and easy to follow meal plan to help him maintain a healthy lifestyle. My dad lost over 10 pounds and continuous to keep the weight off because ComForCare helped him understand the plan was not a diet, but a manageable way of life.

Mickey and Nancy have also been very good friends to my dad including stopping-by on unscheduled days if he is a little under the weather, bringing him a cake on his birthday, and attending his choral group performances, including regularly downloading or personally delivering his song lyrics!
