My path to home care started in rural Oregon, living with my grandma and great-grandma — both declining slowly, both doing their best. We didn’t have help. We needed it.
Later, I became best friends with Bill, an 82-year-old veteran I met at the senior center. I was in middle school. He had a pug named Chyna-Sue. That friendship extended both of our lives — I’m sure of it.
