Why Respite Care Matters

FCaregiver burnout is real. Without breaks, even the most devoted families can become overwhelmed. Respite care gives you time to:

  • Rest and recover physically and emotionally
  • Keep up with work or personal responsibilities
  • Travel or attend family events
  • Focus on your own health and well-being

Most importantly, it ensures your loved one gets consistent, compassionate care from trained caregivers while you take the time you need.

  • Offer support and understanding, with flexible services that can help

Why Families in Garland Trust Us

This work is personal to me. Growing up, I lived with my grandmother and great-grandmother, one of whom had dementia. We tried to do it alone — no plan, no support — and it took a toll on everyone. Looking back, I know having respite care would have given us more good days together.

That’s why we built ComForCare to support both clients and family caregivers. We know you can’t pour from an empty cup — and taking a break is not giving up. It’s ensuring your loved one gets the best version of you.

✔ We personally meet every family before care starts
✔ We match caregivers by skill and personality
✔ We support and celebrate our care team so they stay long-term
✔ We offer flexibility with no contracts or minimums
✔ We move quickly — care can often start in just a few days

Getting Started with Respite Care

Here’s how the process works:

  1. Call us for a no-pressure consultation
  2. We’ll schedule a free in-home or virtual assessment
  3. Care can often start within just a few days

If you’re caring for someone with dementia, ask us about the GUIDE program benefit — you may qualify for up to 72 hours of covered respite care each year.
