Providing Compassionate Personal Care Services in St. Paul, MN and Surrounding Areas

It's Ok to Ask for Help!

Personal Care | ComForCare St. Paul - Screen_Shot_2020-07-10_at_12We provide personalized assistance for anyone needing care: seniors, persons with disabilities or special needs, persons recovering from illness or surgery, and veterans. Although some people may choose an assisted living community, while others may end up in other care facilities, we at ComForCare have always focused on keeping people in their homes.

Prior to starting any in-home care services, our oversight nurse and other staff member(s) will make an appointment for an in-home assessment. We will meet your loved one and develop a personalized plan based on what we see is needed and what you want. From there a personalized schedule is agreed upon.

Personal Care Services are Available for All

Daily tasks can be a challenge and ComForCare is there to provide a helping hand. Our caregivers can help with meal preparation and planning, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation to doctor appointments, and running errands.

While we understand it can be uncomfortable for persons to receive some personal care services, our caregivers are trained to be discreet and in ways to make people comfortable. We are always considerate to help each person to relax and know that their dignity is respected. Everyone needs a little help at times and it's ok to ask for help!

Personal Hygiene

We realize that personal hygiene needs can often be uncomfortable for clients and family members. There is often a degree of emotional distress that comes with needing assistance with daily personal hygiene. Our caregivers are professional, compassionate, and respectful and are trained to be discreet and in ways to make people comfortable. All personal needs are handled with the utmost care and respect.

Personal hygiene needs that caregivers may provide assistance with include:

  • Incontinence care
  • Toileting needs
  • Basic oral hygiene
  • Skincare and haircare
  • Grooming, and nails (no trimming)
  • Bathing, dressing, and hygiene
  • Washing linens

Companionship, and Family Respite

Our companions can monitor a client’s safety and well-being and provide emotional support, all while assisting with activities of daily living and spending quality time with your loved one.

When it comes to taking care of a loved one, it’s important for family caregivers to also focus on taking care of themselves. ComForCare understands how important it is for family caregivers to take the time to rest and recharge. People have lives of their own that likely cannot be put on hold, such as their own children, careers, and responsibilities. When family members need a break or time away, we can provide outstanding care and peace of mind. ComFor Care supports the whole family.
