At ComForCare Scottsdale, we know that in order to provide high-quality home care services to the families we work with, we only hire the most qualified individuals to be a part of our team. At ComForCare, we take great pride in the caregivers we select. To select our caregivers, we have a rigorous 10-step hiring process to ensure they meet all of our standards for excellence.
Each one of our professional caregivers is experienced and highly trained in home care best practices. We provide continuous education to ensure the most up-to-date care techniques are used when caring for our clients.
In order to develop strong, trusting relationships between clients and caregivers, we carefully match clients with caregivers whose interests, life experiences and personalities complement their own. Before we ever select caregivers, we meet with clients, take note of their personality and speak with them about their life history, which helps us select the most compatible caregiver.

My goal and aspiration are to touch and improve as many lives as possible, from clients to caregivers. This is the legacy we want to leave. I truly believe all of this time has been time well spent, and I wouldn’t change that. I improved my life, and now I am making it my mission to improve others.

Chris Loveless, Registered Nurse
Chris has been a member of the ComForCare Scottsdale team for five years. She is originally from Chicago where she completed her nursing degree and worked for over 30 years in various nursing positions. Licensed in Arizona and Illinois, Chris has focused the last 15 years on providing care to older adults as a geriatric nurse care manager. She loves serving as a patient advocate for her clients and helping them navigate the health care system.
Chris relocated to Arizona in 2010 with her husband Dave and their two four-legged "children," Maximus and Titus. They have a blended family of five adult children who reside in Arizona and Illinois. Chris enjoys Zumba and yoga, is an avid reader and enjoys spending time outdoors. She feels especially blessed to live and work in the warmth and sunshine of our beautiful area.
Scott Acton, Operations Manager
Scott Acton has been the operations manager at ComForCare Scottsdale since 2015. He has assisted our clients with accessing long-term care insurance benefits to help pay for care. Scott believes that reliability, dedication and organization are keys to success. Scott has previously worked with American Funds and Planet Payroll as a payroll provider. He has studied mathematics and computer science at Northern Arizona University and Arizona State. Scott has two children, Michael and Rebecca. He enjoys working with computers and is an avid Scrabble and backgammon player.
Nichole Lavnikevich, Care Manager
Nichole Lavnikevich has been the care manager at ComForCare Home Care since 2015. She was born in Connecticut, grew up in Kansas and relocated to Arizona in 2010. Nichole earned her certified nursing assistant (CNA) license in 2014 and has been professionally caring for others ever since. She started at ComForCare as a caregiver before advancing in 2015. Providing the best service, working hard and finding ways to improve have always been her passions. Nichole enjoys painting, hiking and spending time with her son, Roman.
