Our agency is led by Akanksha Bist, MS, DPT, a licensed healthcare professional with over 12 years of hands-on experience in home health and senior care. Families don’t just come to us for caregiving—they come to us for guidance, expertise, and a trusted partner in navigating the aging journey.
Akanksha’s approach to home care is deeply personal. Her journey began with caring for her own grandparents—an experience that shaped her belief that aging adults deserve dignity, respect, and the ability to remain in the comfort of their own homes.
She built a distinguished 15+ year career as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, specializing in home health. During this time, she worked closely with seniors and families facing complex and evolving care needs. While she valued her work as a therapist, she recognized a critical gap—patients needed more time, more guidance, and a consistent expert they could rely on, not just short clinical visits.
That realization led her to establish ComForCare Home Care (North Austin)—where she could combine her clinical expertise with a more personalized, relationship-driven approach to care.
Today, Akanksha serves not only as a care provider, but as a trusted advisor to families, helping them understand their options, anticipate challenges, and confidently plan for the future.
