“A licensed healthcare professional dedicated to making aging in place a reality.”
Our owner Akanksha and her husband, Ameya, made the decision together to open an agency to serve their community and bring a valuable service to older adults who wish to age in place. Ameya had the privilege to care for his grandparents, only adding to his core belief to serve those who have given so much. While Akanksha didn’t have the opportunity to support her loved ones in a similar way, she too was committed to supporting elders. She also provided compassionate services throughout her career as a physical therapist for 12 years. This experience taught her that while she loved practicing physical therapy, her sessions were never long enough to build long-term meaningful relationships and provide educational and professional guidance to elders with changing needs to make aging in place a reality. This led her to providing in-home care which allows her to spend time with clients on her terms and care for clients like family as a constant resource that they can always turn to.
As a previous physical therapist in home health, Akanksha was trained to identify challenges associated with aging and most importantly look for a variety of solutions allowing older adults to always feel empowered to make a choice based on what they felt was best for them. The ability to zone in on someone’s needs while coming up with multiple solutions is an art that Akanksha perfected over the years. “My goal is to eliminate as many surprises as possible and make the idea of aging in place a reality and easy by taking the time to know every client and put them at the center of all that we do. We are here for our clients and will do everything we can to help them be their best.”
Akanksha and Ameya have both personally experienced how rewarding it can be to help, and they want to do more of it.
Akanksha has a Master of Science, a doctorate degree, and 12 years of experience working as a physical therapist, most of which is in home health. She has in-depth experience of creating a personalized plan of care and helping people by improving their quality of life, while focusing on building trust and ensuring wellness and safety.
Ameya has a Master of Science, an MBA degree, and more than a decade of experience in the technology industry in various roles. He has an abundance of experience in engineering, planning, strategy, operations and management.
While not at work, Akanksha and Ameya love being outdoors with their two young boys and spending time with their parents.
