Dr. Orathia and Stephen Mitchell

Dr. Orathia and Stephen Mitchell lead a unified, committed team of care providers in Georgia. Together, they provide compassionate home care services to local older adults in Douglas County, Paulding County, and Carroll County. Having sacrificed their time and energy to serve others in the past and seeing firsthand the impact of a helping hand, both Orathia and Stephen believe in collaborative care. They are honored to build a care team for aging individuals.

The pair started their ComForCare business to equip and empower their neighbors to live their best lives possible. New to Georgia, Orathia served as a public education principal for 23 years in Pennsylvania, working with different backgrounds and needs. Formerly a widow, she was the primary caregiver for her late husband and has worked closely with her own parents as they have transitioned into a new stage of life. This led her to want to pay it forward. Whatever best “living” looks like, she wants to support each individual and their family every step of the way, believing firmly that one’s best life is a “blessed” life. Prior to joining forces with Orathia, Stephen owned an expediting business with a fleet of delivery vehicles. He is also an Army veteran who served as a corrections officer. Stephen also cared for his late step-father, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, so he too recognizes firsthand the privilege of easing the aging process for a loved one.

While Orathia focuses on client services and community relations, Stephen handles employee relations and care coordination. Both having a strong faith and experiencing the importance of home care personally, they believe opening their own ComForCare location was a mission they were called to lead. They are wholeheartedly committed to blessing the lives of others and will do everything in their power to ensure that their clients love their lives and their employees love their jobs! Safety, peace of mind, and excellence in care are their hallmarks. Their location offers companionship, personal care, memory care, and assistance with activities of daily living to help others “live their best lives possible.”
