In-Home Care Services for the Disabled

Disability Management Helps Look After Your Loved One While Allowing for a Sense of Independence

At ComForCare Home Care, our caregivers understand that your family or friend desires as much independence as possible, yet still needs some help. We can give them the one-on-one disability care and attention they deserve without the limitations an institution-style setting may impose.

The One-On-One Care Difference

When you choose ComForCare, your special person is assigned a personal caregiver or team of caregivers for whom the priority is your family member’s well-being. This is different from institutions, where a person would be one of many residents receiving disability management. This means you don’t need to worry about things like overcrowding or understaffing, as your loved one is always getting direct attention and care.

We offer a large number of home care services,
including but not limited to:

  • Light housekeeping
  • Help with hygiene needs
  • Toileting and bathing assistance
  • Incontinence care
  • Meal preparation according to physician recommendations
  • Transportation assistance

What Is Disability Management

Children and adults with physical disabilities or other challenges often need hands-on care around the clock. Issues such as developmental delays, cognitive disabilities, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism may inhibit one’s ability to perform daily tasks on their own. This is where disability management can help.

Disability Management and Medical Assistance

Many conditions come with complications that require frequent doctor’s visits, therapies, and medication management. This personalized care plan is created and overseen by a registered nurse or other health professional. We thoroughly equip our caregivers for specific disabilities, so they know what to expect, what to look for and how best to help. When needed, our caregivers know to seek medical assistance to make sure your family or friend is kept safe and comfortable.

Companionship

Living life with a disability can be lonely, and our caregivers make sure to take ample time to provide companionship. Companionship services are tailored to match your loved one’s abilities and interests while supporting their internal growth. Caregivers may play brain games, memory games, read stories or current events, listen to music or just sit and talk with clients. If clients are able and interested, caregivers may bring them to social functions or local events to enjoy the scenery and interaction.

Family Respite

We provide a wide range of respite care services allowing family caregivers the opportunity to take time for themselves without worry. Whether you need just a few hours a week or long-term assistance, we can provide the care services that meet your family’s unique needs. This can help you to better manage work schedules and other responsibilities while reducing the pressure of caregiving. A little respite care can go a long way toward helping you, and the person being cared for enjoy each other’s company more.

Better Care Starts Here

"July 9, 2019 by J.K."
"My caregiver is very good and takes great care of me. My problem with ComForCare is that it doesn’t have a replacement when my caregiver is not well or on vacation. Initially when I really needed help, the Agency couldn’t. It’s been more than a year and it still hasn’t found a replacement. The main reason to go with an Agency was to have a stress free life as depending on Private persons left me helpless. Shannon had said that she would have a replacement but that didn’t happen. I’m still grateful to have my caregiver."

"Luckily I have Patty, thus you & I really lucked out! The reason we stayed away from Individuals was that, you Shannon had said that you would send a replacement in case the person you assign couldn't make it. Only on the last occasion were you able to find a Replacement; however, we decided not to have one as that person would have had to be trained by us for every little thing.I would welcome a trainee who could watch Patty and learn. Other than that, I'm happy especially that you are prompt sending the Invoices timely. You may share my message but not my name or phone number. If you screen anybody, I'll call and talk to them about your Company, of course all the positive things happened to me.Even before I received this request, I referred your name to friends, unfortunately one passed away last month. If you have questions, call after the 15th after noon ONLY and leave a message if I don't answer.. I purposely didn't punctuate, as my following generation doesn't care & I'd be wasting my time. You asked for it, you got it.Thanks."
