We at ComForCare Tecumseh encourage independence whenever possible.

Tecumseh, OK Dementia & Alzheimer's Home Care | ComForCare - alzheimer-associationBy allowing persons with dementia to do the things they still can, we see them respond with cooperation and acceptance of care. Remaining independent is important for self-esteem and can improve a clients’ outlook and happiness, especially when coping with a diagnosis such as Alzheimer’s or other type of dementia.

Dementia Care Challenges

Tecumseh, OK Dementia & Alzheimer's Home Care | ComForCare - image-callout-home-careIt is difficult for friends and family members to watch how dementia affects someone who was always capable and independent. If you have become a family caregiver, you may soon feel isolated and overwhelmed. Balancing your own busy life with new responsibilities will ultimately create stress in your life.

While no one knows your loved one better than you, most family caregivers do not know how to make dementia care easier and more effective. Our caregivers are trained to do just that. We work with you to provide respite when you need it while providing your loved one with the support and assistance they need.

DementiaWise™ – Where Experience and Compassion Improve Dementia Care

DementiaWise® is the proprietary dementia curriculum for ComForCare. It has been reviewed and approved by the Alzheimer’s Association® because it meets the Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Care Practice Recommendations in certain topics as per a report issued on March 9, 2017. See report results.
