During four decades of helping organizations leverage technology to achieve their business objectives, I had the privilege of driving meaningful change in corporate America. However, witnessing my parents navigate the challenges of aging — and reflecting on my own journey as I near 70, inspired a shift in my focus toward a deeper purpose.

This realization led me to ComForCare, where I found an opportunity to empower families in supporting their aging loved ones with dignity, love, and respect while supporting and valuing the incredible individuals who provide that care.

Caregiving is not merely a job; it’s a calling. At ComForCare, we are committed to fostering a culture that honors and supports caregivers as much as the clients they serve. This means providing our caregivers with comprehensive training, emotional support, and a nurturing community, ensuring they thrive both personally and professionally.

This photo is of me with my parents — the heart of my inspiration. My mother was fortunate to have compassionate caregivers who dressed her, applied her makeup, and as her body broke down, they did everything they could to ease her emotional and physical pain. While their dedication was unwavering, they often lacked formal training and institutional support. This experience shaped my vision for a caregiving model that prioritizes both exceptional care and caregiver support.

When exploring business options, ComForCare stood out for its alignment with my mission. Its robust dementia care and safety training along with caregiver support programs resonate deeply with my values. At ComForCare Central KC, we focus on two pillars: the well-being of our clients and their families, and the growth and satisfaction of our caregivers.
