Meet the Owner, Julie Flower
I am Julie Flower, the owner of ComForCare Home Care serving the southwest Minneapolis, Minnesota metro area. My passion is helping seniors live their best lives in the familiar comfort of their own homes.
My journey to ComForCare is personal. When my mother, who had Alzheimer’s, needed care in her rural Indiana home, I spent weeks searching for home care services, with no success. It was an incredibly frustrating and anxious time for our family; we wanted to keep her in the beautiful lakefront home she and her husband built, but we couldn’t provide the full-time care she needed. We eventually relied on a friend’s recommendation for an unlicensed, unvetted caregiver so my stepfather could manage essential tasks like yard work and grocery shopping. Leaving her in that situation to return to my own family and work was terrifying. That experience cemented my goal: to purchase a home care agency franchise to ensure that other families would never face the difficult, stressful situation we did. I believe quality, personalized care should be easily accessible to everyone.
For over 25 years, I worked in Corporate Marketing, with the last 15 years in an Executive role. This experience allowed me to become skilled in attracting, hiring, and developing high-performing teams focused on problem-solving and making a tangible difference. I leverage this expertise in hiring and training to ensure my agency delivers specialized and compassionate care to seniors in their homes.
