STACY MUNDAY

World Traveler, Entrepreneur, Mother

“I understand what our clients and their families are going through because I’ve been there.”

Family First… Always

When Stacy’s father was diagnosed with lung cancer, she moved in to care for him and stayed through all the ups and downs. When he passed away, she felt good knowing she had done everything she could to make him as comfortable as possible.

But before her father’s diagnosis, Stacy was new to home care. And, once she understood what other families were going through, she knew this was her calling in life.

So when she was approached by her friends to run their ComForCare business, she knew it was the right move.

“My life has been spent in non-profit advocating for youth. But, it seemed like a natural transition to care for our golden population. After going through everything with my dad, I wanted to spend my life advocating for people in need. Taking care of their wants and needs and dignity of life.”

In November 2020, Stacy fully acquired the franchise from her friends. In fact, she signed on the dotted line on November 8… her dad’s birthday. “I couldn’t help but feel it was a sign that I was absolutely on the right path. It was a full-circle moment.”

A Helping Hand When It’s Most Needed

When Stacy was caring for her dad, the time came when she needed the help of a caregiver to help her manage the load. And, those emotions in that moment stay with her to this day.

“Nine times out of 10, when someone calls our office, they are in crisis mode. And, I get that. I understand what our clients and their families are going through because I’ve been there.”

Stacy is honored to help other families walk through this time in their lives. She makes it a priority to help her clients and their families understand the full spectrum of care available to them.

“We can help on a deeper level,” Stacy reflects. “I’m not scheduling a shift. I’m scheduling a client with needs. I lead with the needs. Always.”

Care Like Family Is Stacy’s Standard

When Stacy is considering hiring a caregiver, she always asks herself, “Would I leave this person with my own dad?” That’s because, when it comes to caring for clients, Stacy wants caregivers to care with their heart.

“Care Like Family is our company value and standard of care. I carry it with me all the time.”

Stacy trains her team to go beyond everyday tasks and tune into the heart of her clients’ feelings. It’s all about kindness and remembering the feelings and vulnerabilities of her clients. She holds her caregivers to a higher level of care and knows how much the right fit matters.

“This line of work is deeply personal, and I hold my team to high standards. It takes a subtle, kind approach to handle such personal moments with the utmost care while always maintaining our clients’ dignity. It’s all about meeting the needs of our clients and doing so in the kindest possible way.”
