ComForCare Home Care Livingston County, MI Cares Like Family

Before starting ComForCare Home Care-Livingston, I spent years working as a long-term care pharmacy manager. In that role, I spent a significant amount of time visiting various facilities—training staff, auditing medication carts, and observing the day-to-day realities of care. Through these experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for the residents themselves, looking beyond the healthcare system around them to see the people within it. I saw firsthand what worked well and what didn’t, and I realized that families truly need options that prioritize individual dignity.

This professional journey soon became profoundly personal. My Grandmother, one of the most influential people in my life—one who first taught me about unconditional love and what it means to truly care for others—was diagnosed with dementia. I watched her go through it, and I watched my family navigate the heartbreaking complexities of her journey. I often wonder how her experience might have changed had she been able to age safely at home, surrounded by the familiar sights, sounds, and people she knew and loved.

“I believe that whenever safely possible, people deserve another option: receiving quality care in a place that they know and love.”

My Beautiful Grandmother and Daughters the day she adopted her dog, on this day we had no idea Blue would later become our family dog, she brings a touch of my Grandmother’s unconditional love to our home every day.

That core belief is exactly why I built this agency. I wanted to create a care provider where families can feel completely confident that their loved one is being treated as a person—not as a task on a schedule. My Grandmother’s story is the foundation of why I do this, but every client we serve becomes their own story. Our ultimate goal is to help families create more good days at home.

I can’t change what happened to my Grandmother, but I can use everything I learned from her, and my years of professional experience, to make someone else’s journey a little bit better. Our mission is to provide truly compassionate care. This isn’t just an industry I chose; this field is deeply personal to me.
